My Favorite Crafting Tool

TYPE OF PROJECT (page, card, tag, etc.): Journal/Album

DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT: Album is assorted pages of varying sizes provided by Want2Scrap and measures about 9”x9”. Most of the pages are chipboard. Others are acrylic, canvas, denim and corrugated cardboard. The back of each page has a pocket (envelope) where I can store ideas for projects, techniques, etc. Each page is decorated with things I love or things that inspire me (e.g., my Vespa, 1950s, Asian art, Ohio).

My favorite crafting tool, an electronic cutting machine, was used on each page (e.g., it cut the vinyl title; it cut double-sided adhesive paper so I could apply glitter).

To finish the album, we can cut three things (see techniques below) and attach them to the mat with tape runner.

MAJOR TECHNIQUE(S) DEMONSTRATED:

  1. Cutting a title from any font on your computer
  2. Print and cut (perfect fussy cutting)
  3. Creating a paper piecing from a coloring book image
