Fancy Pants – Mini Birthday Album

Other materials used:

  • Sewing machine
  • Thread
  • Acrylic paint (green)
  • Clip ring
  • Chalk ink (charcoal) for distressing photo edges
  • Solvent ink (black)
Instructions:

1. Punch hole in top left corner of mini album pages (2 chipboard & 2 clear) and
clear heart die cut.
2. Add scalloped felt to left edge of cover with machine stitching. Tie off loose
threads.
3. Add rub-on to cover. Add stroke of green paint to back of cover (page 1) and
let dry.
4. Add chipboard number to front of cover. Add small photo to back off cover
(page 1) over the green paint.
5. Cover top half of page 2 with patterned paper and trim off excess. Cover
bottom half of the same page with a photo and trim off excess. Ink the edges of the
covered chipboard. Add ribbon between photo and patterned paper.
6. Cover page 3 with a photo and trim off excess. Ink the edges. Add chipboard
flower and button.
7. Ink the edges of a 2 ½" x 3 ½" photo and add to page 4, centered vertically.
Machine stitch onto felt crown and adorn with a small button and brad. The brad is
inserted into one of the button holes.
8. Add journaling to 2 ½" x 3 ½" patterned paper and place on page 5.
9. Stamp flower image with solvent ink onto acrylic heart shape.
10. Cover page 6 with green paper.
11. Cover the back cover with blue paper.
12. Add two small photos and chipboard accent to page 6.
13. Secure pages together with a clip ring and embellish ring by tying a ribbon to it.
