Paper Crafts Magazine – Glue Dots Card

Materials Needed:

Cardstock: 
brown, white

Patterned Paper:
 
Simply Seeds, Marvelous Magnolia from Botanical Bliss collection at Tinkering Ink.

Embossing Powder:

Arctic, Sparkle n Sprinkle

Rub-ons:

American Crafts

Fibers:

brown pom pom trim, Making Memories 

Adhesive:

Glue Dots International; foam tape, Making Memories

Tool:

decorative-edge scissors, Fiskars


Finished size: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Instructions:
  • Make card from cardstock.
  • Cover card front with patterned paper strips; sand edges. Cut cardstock with decorative-edge scissors; adhere to card. Adhere trim.
  • Apply sentiment rub-on to cardstock; trim and adhere with foam tape.
  • Emboss adhesive dots (see “Adhesive Dots Embossing Technique”); let cool and adhere to card.

Designer Tips

  • To coat adhesive dots evenly, try gently pressing them into a mound of embossing powder.
  • If you prefer, you can adhere the dots to the card and then emboss them, but the dots keep their shape better if embossed before adhering.

Adhesive Dots embossing techniques

  • Coat strip of adhesive dots with embossing powder.
  • Heat set until powder is shiny; let cool.  Adhere to project.
