Materials Needed:

Instructions:
  1. Open a new document with the following settings:
  • 6 x 4 inches
  • 300 pixels per inch
  1. Select the Type tool and choose a bold font at a very large size. Renee used Georgia Bold at 138 points.
  2. Type each letter of the word “Happy” on a separate layer.
  3. Copy and paste the decorative digital “paper” you want to use into your document. Renee used Silk n’ Stripes from Tinkering Ink.
  4. Make sure the “paper” layer is just above the “H” layer in the Layers palette.
  5. From the menu, choose Layer > Group With Previous.
  6. Add a drop shadow and stoke using the Effects palette.
  7. Repeat these steps for several letters in card, changing the “paper for each one. Recolor the letter for the solid ones.
  8. Dress up the background of the card using the Custom Shape tool and Snowflake 2 from the Nature group.
  9. Finally add the word “Holidays” in a complementary font and your card is complete.
