Embellishments Pages - "Romantic Weekend"
Materials
Needed
1 sheet 12 x 12 mauve pattern paper
1 sheet 12 x 12 purple cardstock
8 ½ x 11 sheets of black, red,
purple and light purple cardstock
1 ½" Square punch
1" Heart punch
Sheet of double-sided adhesive paper
Red glass marble beads
Purple glass marble beads
Metal ruler
Craft knife
Cutting mat
Scissors
Acid-free adhesive
Pen for journaling
Instructions
1.
Trim mauve pattern paper to fit 12 x 12 cardstock
leaving ¼" border. Adhere pattern paper to cardstock.
2.
Cut strip of red cardstock 1 ¾" x 11 ¾"
and a strip of light purple cardstock 1 ½" x 11 ¾".
Mount the light purple strip onto the red strip leaving a 1/8"
border on the long sides. Mount border strip vertically on left
side of pattern paper about ½" in from edge.

Accent border strip and page with beaded punch outs.
To create each punch out: punch out a heart from the double-sided
adhesive paper. Then using the square punch, turn the punch over
and position the negative heart shape into the center of the square
so the square forms a border around the negative heart. Punch the
square. Peel the backing from the square and adhere to the black
cardstock and cut out the square using scissors or a craft knife,
metal ruler and cutting mat. Remove the backing from the positive
heart punch out and place on the paper in the center of the square.
Peel the top backing from the heart and press red glass beads into
place. Peel top backing from square and press purple glass beads
into place. Adhere beaded squares onto border or onto page.
4.
Double mat photos with red and darker purple cardstock.
Mount photos on page with acid-free adhesive. Cut strip of light
purple cardstock and mount between photos on page. Journal on strip.
